Free anti-virus software
Are you a Norton or McAfee user and your subscription is about up or maybe it expired a few months ago? I'm guessing you probably don't want to fork over $40 or more to renew for another year.
That's where AVG comes into the picture. Grisoft, the software company, has a free version of the program that you can download at the link above.
AVG does a good job of protecting you against viruses. As long as you're using it on your home computer and not a business, there's really no reason not to download it.
My only suggestion is that once you have it installed, turn off the e-mail scanner function because hopefully your ISP has its own virus detection for your POP mail.
